Killfile stopped working
For years my killfile has been fine in OE6. Not any more. Now it seems to
reset itself all the time, especially when the PC goes off. This has never happened before! Does anyone know what is going on here? Thanks all |

Please elaborate. Are you using Blocked Senders, or Message Rules? And is it
for News, or Mail? -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Mother Farquhar" wrote in message ... For years my killfile has been fine in OE6. Not any more. Make sure there are no 3rd party programs such as antivirus software set to
scan email or antispam software (see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3). If that doesn't fix it, then try setting up a new Identity via File | Identities and see if that works okay. cheers, steve "Mother Farquhar" wrote in message ... The Blocked Senders list is stored in the registry. Failure of the
Blocked Senders list to stick would indicate that the key is likely corrupted and must be deleted by editing the registry (with OE closed). For the appropriate key, see: http://www.insideoe.com/backup/partial.htm -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Mother Farquhar" wrote in message ... Has user finally reached the limit on number of entries in the block sender

4,096? Not likely. But deleting the registry key, or setting up a new
identity, (new key would be included), is the usual fix. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "riverdogs05" wrote in message ...
