Hello,
I have some rules set up to delete messages from the server without even downloading them. However, they are not working. The messages still come thru. If I set the same rules to delete messages when received then they work (get moved to my deleted folder). How do I fix this problem? -- Respectfully, Bob Brannon |

In general:
Have all rules that divert mail to folders first. Delete it from server next. All others last. Make sure that every rule also has Stop processing more rules checked, unless that option is grayed out. - The Actions "Delete from Server" and "Do Not Download" can only test
information in the message header (FROM, TO, CC, SUBJECT, message size). If you test text in the message body or "has attachment", the message must be download first for this test, negating the action. Also, these must be the first rules in your list, or a preceding one may cause the message to download. (Warning: "Do Not Download" should be a temporary rule. If you just leave messages on the server, eventually your server mail account will fill and you'll not receive any new mail.) -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "BBran" wrote in message ...
