Hi Browneyes,
Where are you copying from? What you are copying may be the display address followed by the actual address -- if copied from a message From line. In the example given these would be the same. You could try pasting to Notepad, then select and copy the address before pasting into a message to see if this gives the desired result. -- Tim K. aka Kuay Tim MS-MVP - Outlook Express Lynnwood, WA * "browneyes9898" wrote in message ... When you click on an email addresses on a website a pop-up OE new message
window opens with the address (without the arrow brackets) in the “To:” field. Selecting then copying this address into another new message window’s “Subject:” field or message body displays the address as well as a copy inside arrow brackets. What I’m asking is there a setting or some other fix to prevent the address inside the arrow brackets from being copied? "Kuay Tim" wrote: Hi Browneyes, Where are you copying from? Instead doubleclick on the E-mail name. That will open a Properties dialog and with it you can tab and copy the individual parts of the E-mail address. HTH Robert Aldwinckle --- |
