Default Compacting folders

when I try to follow the following to correct the asking me of the
compacting folders, I don't find anyting in right hand pane or even the
"Compact Check Count" line. Is there a solution?

tks all

I use WIN XP Serv P 2

a..
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook Express\5.0

where GUID is the long number used for your Identity.
a.. In the right-hand pane, double-click "Compact Check Count", then change
the value to zero.

You need to say yes and allow it to compact. It will then not ask again for
100 closings or you can compact manually. See www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#2

You don't find the key...

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook Express\5.0

....where GUID = long series of numbers/letters?

Or you don't find the Name "Compact Check Count" in right-pane?

NB: Your machine has MS06-076 (KB923694) installed so when you compact all
folders manually, the Compact Check Count will automatically be reset to 0
(zero).
