Hello:
I uninstalled Norton AV 2005 and installed AVG 7.5 - now I get the above error in OE 6.0. I tried uinstalling AVG and still got the same error. I tried a System Restore and still had the same problem. I understand this is a IP address problem, but my mail settings have not changed, and I cannot receive mail. I did a Netstat /a after trying to receive mail and port 110 is not in a wait state. I also wanted to add that this appears to be a bigger (networking) problem than just this. I use a program called Crossloop for remote access, and this has stopped working as well. Internet Explorer works, however. Any guidance on this problem would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help. |

10049 = Cannot assign requested address.
The full text of the error message would be helpful. That includes the server name, server type, port number, socket error code, SSL, etc. For best results, copy/paste the error message rather than retyping it. You should be able to highlight the message text in the error window (hold down the left mouse button while dragging the mouse over the text). Then press Ctrl-C (hold down the Ctrl key while pressing the C key) to copy the highlighted text to the Windows clipboard. You can then paste that text into the problem description using the Ctrl-V key combination. What version of Windows are you using? Are you running a firewall? Besides uninstalling Norton AV, were/are any other Norton products installed? -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "joave" wrote in message ...
