Any idea if there is a setting that I can change so that when I scroll down
a page using the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the page, it doesn't scroll smoothly down the page, it jumps with each click. This just started happening when I had my hard drive reformatted. I can still use the scroll bar, but it's very annoying. Thanks in advance for your help! |

Is this in IE or OE or both?
If using IE7, Tools | Internet Options | Advanced Tab. Under the Browsing section, check: Use Smooth Scrolling. You may also have a setting in the Control Panel | Mouse icon. If still no joy, remove the mouse from Add /Remove Programs, Reboot and reinstall the software. For help with IE7, Please post to the Internet Explorer General Newsgroup. This is the case in OE, IE6, and even in Word documents. It jumps not only
when I use the mouse, but also when I use the up and down arrow keys to navigate. Since this is the case, it makes me think it's a setting, not the mouse. Do you agree? BTW: I already have the smooth scrolling option selected. Thanks! "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... Is this in IE or OE or both? If using IE7, Tools | Internet Options | Advanced Tab. Do you have another mouse you can try? I would still try removing and
reinstalling the mouse. It may be a setting, but since this is an OE specific newsgroup and your problem is global, this might not be the best place to ask. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "RDPaul" wrote in message ... You might try TweakUI for XP.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx TweakUI/Mouse/Wheel option enables the scrolling by page or 'x' number of lines at a time. Note: -The setting is only applicable to the logged on XP profile since it is stored in the registry for the current user. - TweakUI is a non supported msft application ..winston "Ronnie Paul" wrote in message ... : Any idea if there is a setting that I can change so that when I scroll down : a page using the scroll bar on the right-hand side of the page, it doesn't : scroll smoothly down the page, it jumps with each click.
