Default Embedded pictures in OE

I'm using Windows XP SP2, and recently the embedded pictures in
Outlook Express 6 are failing to display. I get the boundary of the picture
and an internal square with a red cross in it. I'm assuming something that
I've done recently has stopped this working. Any suggestions welcome.

Click on Tools/Options/Security and make sure that Download Images is
unchecked.

No, That's not checked. No problem there. I'm sure it's a registry setting
that I've changed/deleted by mistake...

There are a few possibilities. Some are on the sender's end, and some may be
on your end.

It seems to be OK now. The cure appears to have been "regsvr32 /i
mshtml.dll"
I'm not certain, but after trying a couple of things from your list, and
then closing IE and OE, the next load saw the problem gone!
Thanks.
