.eml extensions cannot be opened
 

I have been getting a lot of emails lately that have attachments with a .eml
extension. When I click on the paper clip I get another window with the the
envelope and name of the attachment. When I click on the envelope I get the
Mail Attachment box that asks me if I want to open the file. When I click on
open I get the following message: "this file does not have a program
associated with it to perform this action. create an association in the
Folder Options control panel ". What does that mean?
