Discrimination at Microsoft! I don't use Internet Explorer - How can I get the Outlook Express Service Pack 1 ?
I don't use Internet Explorer.
How can I still get the Outlook Express v6 Service Pack 1 ? And: WHERE is this Outlook Express v6 Service Pack 1 at all? I have not been able to find it, but it is mentioned many times at the MS website and in MS newsgroups, but there is no direct link given. I need to download and install it offline. As said we don't use Internet Explorer, we use a different web browser. The Windows Update website ( http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ ) works only with Microsoft's browser Internet Explorer ! Isn't that a breach of the U.S. and E.U. cartel and monopoly laws, ie. discriminating the other browser vendors and their users ???? |

Frank,
I suspect the op is using W2K with a service pack less than SP4 which may also explain the version/sp level of OE in his properties, thus his earlier posts and attempts looking for any of the current OE updates(patch or cumulative) which at the minimum require XPsp2, W2Ksp4, and IE will remain fruitless. If so then his system(work) is not capable of meeting the last few OE cumulative updates requirements, As an example.. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec.../MS06-076.mspx "Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM" wrote in message ... : That's very interesting. OE6 SP1 is part of IE6 SP1.
Start install of IE6 SP1 and when offered a chance choose custom install. But you really should install all of IE6 SP1 because it also updates some system files. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM http://www.fjsmjs.com "Mantra" wrote in message ...
