I have a PC with Outlook and a new laptop with OE. Is there a way to get
just Outlook on my laptop? Is there a tutorial to help me get my inbox, sent,
address book imported from my PC? I now get some messages on my laptop and
some on my PC.

You have to purchase Outlook by itself or with Microsoft Office.

Do you want to get your mail on both computers?

You first need to purchase Outlook to install on another machine. The current version is Outlook 2007($100-110 depending upon source..e.g. Staples)

This site has links on transferring content in either direction.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ou...169051033.aspx

Note: Outlook stores all content in a single pst file, OE uses individual files for each(inbox, address etc) and a special folder to maintain the hiearchy when displayed in OE.

OL allows export of an individual folder(e.g Contacts to a *.csv file) which can be imported to the OE address book

Note: Exporting from OL to OE will only resolve the 'some messages' problem until the next mail retreival in either program. If you wish to operate both, then one application needs to be instructed to leave mail on the server. Leaving mail on the server is usually restricted to a pop3 account instead of an http account.

You can have all users/PCs download all message from a POP3 mail server
by selecting Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, Advanced, Leave a copy
of messages on the server in all users/PCs. One or more of the
users/PCs should be set to delete messages from the server after a few
days or else the server mail account will eventually fill. However,
Sent messages will only be saved on the sending user/PC.

Check the licensing documentation that you have for Office/Outlook.
Some versions have the provision that IF a single person uses both the
desk top and lap top, a single purchased copy may be installed on both.
