SOCKET ERROR
 
How do I repair this?
I using WinXp home. IE 7 and outlook express.
THE CONNECTION TO SERVER HAS FAILED. ACCOUNT POP-SERVER SATX.RR.COM
PROTOCOL: POP 3 PORT 110 SECURE (SSL) NO SOCKET
ERROR 1006l
ERROR NUMBER 0x800CCC0E
ERROR NUMBER 0x800CCC0D

Once I check my mail and close outlook
I have to reboot the computer in order to check my mail again. I aready
tried redoing my account settings for the pop 3. Still not working right.

SOCKET ERROR
 
I know you replied this was answered in the IE general newsgroup, but I can
not find the response. Can you provide more info or paste the thread link so
that I can go directly to it? There are so many threads that have this same
issue including myself and the doesn't seem to be a working solution as of
yet. How do we get this escalated to MICROSOFT ?

SOCKET ERROR
 
I was replying to Doug. You'd do best to stick with your own thread here
instead of piggybacking onto someone else's whose problem /appears/ to be
the same as yours.

I will note that there are an unusually high number of recent threads in the
OE and IE newsgroups about 0x800CCC0E and 0x800CCC0D errors from Comcast and
Roadrunner users for all of them to be coincidental. I think something's
amiss on Comcast's and Roadrunner's respective ends myself.
