I have my folders sorted in OE so that when they are opened in OE 6 the
messages are sorted by date sent with the latest messages at the bottom. I must have done something wrong, because now when I open these message folders, although they are sorted correctly by "Sent", the cursor is at the top of the folder page instead at the bottom where the latest message is located. It used to work correctly (with the cursor on the last message) but I must have inadvertently changed something. (I did delete a corrupt "folders.dbx to resolve some problems and let it reconstitute itself). How do I return to the old behavior for the cursor? Thanks. Jeff |

I'm not sure what you are asking. The cursor should be any place on the
screen that you left it. It isn't automatically on a message header. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Jeff" wrote in message ... Well it isn't. It is always at the top of the folder page.
I just went to my sent page which has 235 messages. The cursor was at the top of the page on a message dated 5/8/07. So I scrolled down to the bottom to my last message dated 6/2, opened that message and closed it. I then moved to my Inbox (also sorted by date with latest at bottom of the screen) in which the cursor was correctly found at the last message. On reopening the Sent folder, there was the cursor again on the 5/8/07 message. It did not use to do that, which is why I was asking the question. Eureka!! Just solved the problem. I noticed that the Sent folder was not sorted by date sent like the others, but by Account. When I clicked to sort it on the Sent column all works correctly. Sorry to have bothered you. I thought it was a setting elsewhere while the answer was staring me in the face :-) Jeff "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... I'm not sure what you are asking.
