I am travelling overseas and may need to access my mail on other computers.
I do not need a password to access Outlook on my computer. Does that mean I
don't have one or is my computer set so that I don't need to enter it?

If I don't have one how do I access my account from another computer? Do I
create one, if so, how do I do that?

Any help appreciated(I am a computer mug!)

Thank you.

Outlook, or Outlook Express? If OE, you had to choose a password when you
created the account. You may have checked to Always Remember, but the PW was
needed never the less.

To access e-mail from another computer, you would have to set up an account
on it, and that s assuming your provider is available in the places you
travel to.

Does your ISP have Web access to e-mail? Most do, and that would be the way
to go. Check their Website, or give them a call.

Chances are he was ASSIGNED a password rather than having to choose a
password. As you say, his computer is SET to REMEMBER his password which is
the reason he never has to use it.

He can fish his password out if he has got the original letter from his ISP
provider. He can of course, if he feels up to it, go on the ISP's web page
and change his password to a more user friendly one but he can only do this
IF he can key in his original password assigned to him by his ISP.

Failing this he can phone his ISP and ask them to post or email him his
password which I am sure they will do after asking him certain questions to
make sure that it is not somebody else posing as him. A question of
security, I guess, but otherwise anybody can pose as anybody else and
download their emails.

Hope this makes him realize the importance of keeping his password to
himself.
