Email sent from my #3 accounts is seen by receipent as coming from my #1 account
As the subject line says. Every time I send an email from my business
account it is seen by the receipient as being from my personal account. "Help" has instructions as to how to eliminate this but that doesn't work. Any suggestions? Steve Wieck |

How are the accounts set up? Three different e-mail addresses? Do you switch
identities to move between them, or do they share the same OE window? If the latter, do you click on the down arrow at the right of the From field to choose the account? -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Steve Wieck" wrote in message ... I have three seperate accounts set up and I switch identies when moving from
one account to the other. There is no "From" box available when composing an email but what I have tried is to save an email as a draft, open the email and now I have a "From" box with pull down, I select the correct account - send the email and the receipent still see the email as coming from the wrong account. Thanks Norman,
I guess my problem is that when composing an email there is no "From" box from which to use a pull down menu and thereby select another account. How do I get a "From" box to show up when composing. Any suggestions? If you set up multiple accounts in a single MS Outlook Express Identity, you need to select the "From:" account out of the drop-down menu for the "From:" email address of the compose window. Every account you ever set up in MSOE will be listed in that drop-down menu. MSOE will, by default, reply from the email address of the account which received the email. If you need to change the "From:" email address in a replay, you, again, go to the drop-down menu in the compose window. -- Norman ~Shine, bright morning light, ~now in the air the spring is coming. ~Sweet, blowing wind, ~singing down the hills and valleys. |

If these are three separate e-mail addresses, and you have to switch
identities to move to each one, then there should not be a From option while composing, or when in Drafts. In each identity, go to Tools | Accounts | Mail and make sure there is only one account listed. In Properties, make sure the e-mail address is correct and the reply address is blank. Test by sending messages from one identity to another. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Steve Wieck" wrote in message ... If only one email account (address) is running in the identity, any New
Messages sent from that identity will be sent from that address by default. (AFAIK, you should not see additional choices in FROM field when opening a message in Drafts.) If all three accounts (addresses) are aliases for the same mailbox, things get more complicated. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-Windows (IE, OE, Security, Shell/User) AumHa VSOP & Admin; DTS-L.org Steve Wieck wrote: I have three seperate accounts set up and I switch identies when moving from one account to the other. Praise the Lord Bruce that was the problem.
