Can someone tell me why I cannot change the text size in my outgoing email?
It just started this about a week ago. No matter what size I set the text at, it stays on 12. Can anyone help? Thanks! Sheila |

I also noticed this morning I can't change the text size in my MSN email account either. I can't even change the text in the body of the email, it stays on 12. This is probably and MSN problem since it happens in their hotmail also, no? |

Hi Mike,
I am having the same problem as Bellamia except this has been happening for over 2 years now. I tried to do everything that you suggested above but I am still having the same problem. Are there any other options to this? thanks. utran "Michael Santovec" wrote: OLEXP: Cannot Change Text Format Using Outlook Express http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=178895 The Font Size Changes When You Press ENTER in a New Message http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=232001 Default Font Size Is Not Applied in a New HTML E-mail Message http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=240730 -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "Bellamia" wrote in message ... Lets start at the beginning.
How are you trying to change text size and what, if anything, happens? Are you using Plain Text of HTML Format? (Tools, Options, Send). If you are using HTML, are you using any stationery? (Tools, Options, Compose)? -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "UTran" wrote in message ... Here are the steps that I take to change the font size:
Tools, Options, Compose. Select font settings for mail....apply, okay. I've tried to do this over and over but the font and text size remains the same regardless of my changes. I am also using HTML for mail settings. I am also using a gif signature for my mail. thanks in advance for your help. Utran "Michael Santovec" wrote: Lets start at the beginning. In Tools, Options, Compose what font and font size are you selecting for
mail. Down below that for Stationery, is the mail box checked? If so, the any font specified in stationery override the above settings. Note the BLANK for stationery is a stationery named BLANK. It does not mean no stationery. For no stationery you must uncheck the box for mail. When you compose a message, what does the font and size show in the toolbar at the top of the message body? Can you highlight text and change the font? You mention using a GIF for a signature. You can't use a GIF directly. You must use HTML that references the GIF. How did you create the HTML file? Does it specify any font? Note that signature files should be created in Notepad, not Word because Word puts in a ton of garbage HTML. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "UTran" wrote in message ... you are a GENIUS!
This was the problem all along: "Down below that for Stationery, is the mail box checked? If so, the any font specified in stationery override the above settings. I have asked everyone about this and no one could figure it out except for you. You are welcome and thanks for posting back.
You are not the first one to do that. I don't know why Microsoft created a stationery called BLANK. It just confuses people. -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "UTran" wrote in message ... you are a GENIUS!
