Unable to "send page by email"

I am suddenly unable to send a web page by email. When I try doing so, I get
the following error message:

The current document can not be sent as mail. Would you like to send a
shortcut instead?

Just noticed that this problem occurs only when I try to send a page from the
New York Times site (of which I'm a member), but I wrote the Times about the
prob and they said they were unable to duplicate it. Odd.

Not if you are both using different browsers on different OS... ; }

Always disclose such system details when you need help.

Are you viewing the nytimes.com page in IE or another browser?

Assuming IE:

Is it IE6 or IE7?

Are you sending the page via File Send Page by e-mail? (I just tried
doing it this way and did not encounter any problems.)

In IE6. And, yes, I am attempting to send as you described, as I always have
been able to do until about a week ago.

What system changes (i.e., installs/uninstalls/updates/upgrades) occurred
about a week ago?

Do you have an available Restore Point from a week ago? Does restoring the
machine to this state resolve the problem?

Resolved the prob by upgrading from IE6 to IE7, but still don't understand
why the Send Page by Email function didn't work in IE6. Oh well, that's now
moot.

Glad to hear it but understand that upgrading in hopes of fixing an existing
problem is seldom a wise idea. You were VERY lucky this time.

Now that you're running IE7:

Those with IE7-specific questions or comments are asked to post to and seek
support in this newsgroup: microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general

On the web:
