Fake folder & fake email
A new folder always pops up called "challenge" and emails always end up in it
with the subject "challenge" in the email. Then it takes a recent email and automatically sends it back to that person preceded with the message "I was unable to find you in my list of contacts. The attached image contains a password. Reply to the email and enter the password in the subject or body of your reply". The person then sends it back to me wondering what I'm talking about. I delete the "challenge" folder, but it always reappears within a few hours. I run Norton anti-virus, but it picks up nothing. It's been going on for about a month now. How do I get rid of it short of formatting. I don't mind doing that, but I don't want to lose all of my old emails. Thanks |

My best guess is it is caused by Spam Bully, or you have an uninvited
visitor in your machine. Try with Spam bully disabled. If that doesn't cure it, I would do a thorough search for an infestation. If you have one, a reformat will not always get rid of it. Thanks for the explanation. I don't fully understand the concept, but what
can I do? I turned off spam bully, but I need it for the tons of spam I get. Is it possible to use it without getting the challenge emails?
