When recieving an attachment to my emails. When I try to either open it or
even save it, I can not seem to read the attachment as it is unreadable. In
word viewer the attachment comes up as 50-60 or even 450 pages long and is
full of various characters for example " @# -=-99 gshl ** % ... "
................. and so on. I wonder if someone can help as to why this is
happening and what the solution is to fix this problem.

What file type is the attachment ?

For an attached file, if not removed or filtered by junk mail or isp
filters, to be opened and read properly it must have a corresponding
file type association with a program on your machine.
