I have a desktop PC running Windows XP SP2. Pentium D processor at
3Ghz. 2GB of RAM. DSL Internet connection. Outlook Express 6 SP2 is my default email and newsgroup program. I frequently have friends and relatives send me JPEG images in email. Just recently, I have noticed that it takes about 2-3 seconds longer for these images to open up and display. This is not really a problem, but I'm wondering what might be slowing things down. I've run a CheckDisk and Disk Defrag. No change. I rebooted into Safe Mode, opened the same images with Outlook Express, but the same slowness is apparent even there. Any ideas? |
