Outlook Express 6 "From" Field
"If you have multiple e-mail accounts set up and you want to use one other
than your default account, click in the From box, and then click the e-mail account you want to use. " This is what it says in the help menu, but I can't, for the life of me, find the "From box". How do I add this field to my message headers? -- .........Hulgil |
Outlook Express 6 "From" Field
Are these accounts using the same identity? If they are, open a new message
window and the From field is the first one under the toolbar. You only see when creating a message, not in the normal OE window. If your accounts are set up under different identities, you won't see this an the address the recipient sees is the one you sent from. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Hulgil" wrote in message ... The account has two different identities. It was working for me before, but I
recently reformatted the hard drive and I can't remember how I did it the first time. -- .........Hulgil "Bruce Hagen" wrote: Are these accounts using the same identity? If you have two different accounts/e-mail addresses in different identities,
(Must switch identity to use the other), then there is no From field and the identity/address you are in when you create a new message is the address the recipient will see. If you want them both in the same identity, then you have to remove one of them, and while in the remaining OE identity add it back via Tools | Accounts | Mail | New. The way it is now, the second address was added by File | Identity | Add New Identity. -- Bruce Hagen MS-MVP Outlook Express Imperial Beach, CA "Hulgil" wrote in message ...
