A couple of things to try. Go to Tools | Accounts | Mail | Properties |
Advanced and uncheck the option to break apart messages larger than xxx. I don't think that's it, but check that. Also, do you have any programs running the background such as antispam or antivirus? If so disable them and see if that fixes it. see www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 Otherwise, try setting up a new Identity via File | Identities and add your account there and see if that makes any difference. steve "coldzone" wrote in message ... ... My Big problem is Outlook express is not saving my attachments .....its frgmentating them all into small peaces...! here is an example http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~maxzweb...ment_erros.jpg (Graphic shows characters from part of attachment's path represented by some kind of icon. Characters from path appear in reverse order.) We have seen this strange symptom reported before. However, I still don't think that any of the people complaining about this symptom have made clear if there is really a problem or if it is just a presentation error. E.g. if the file itself is actually attached and the error message refers to the (unexpected) character icons there is an obvious workaround--just click Yes and ignore the message. BTW all that would be required is either post an example or capture the headers from a Ctrl-F3 Message Source window once the message is sent. You can't do that while it is still in the unsent state but if you can't send it even after you click Yes what you could do is save it to Drafts (e.g. press Ctrl-s) then find it in Drafts (e.g. Ctrl-Shift-F Alt-B, Drafts Alt-c,F4,Enter, Enter) then use Forward as attachment on the found message (Menu-w or Alt-M,d) That opens a dummy new E-mail with the message under composition as its attachment and provided E-mail settings have a readable encoding method (such as Quoted Printable) you can then drag that attachment to a Notepad window and see the whole thing, attachments and all.
