backup .dbx files

Hi there,

How can I backup the .dbx files as when I use a backup program these .dbx
files come out as "zero byte" files.

I need to have them backed up automatically along with all the other data
files in the computer....

How to achieve this?

Thanks,

Gordon

What about a command line batch file type of procedure?

Make sure that OE is closed when you try to do the backup. If OE is
open, it locks the DBX files and your backup program can't back them up.

Then all you need to do is copy the DBX files.

What I do is use a command line Zip program run from a batch file and
zip up the DBX files as well as the other files that I regularly backup.

backup .dbx files

From the web page:

You can now automatically backup from the command line using the following
options:

/O -- Overwrite previous backup automatically.
/A -- Automatically backup all identities.
/H -- Hide form when backing up.
Usage Example: OEQB /O /A /H

Well, the button on OETool works fine to backup. In fact its a bit hard to
run the OETool function, when OE is closed. G
