Hi,In Outlook Express,
Tools Options Security tab
Uncheck: Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could
potentially be a virus
Apply, OK When i click the apply,ok they do not work but the 2 options above
them r

(1)Internet zone(less secure but more functional)
(2)Restricted sites zone(more secure)

Mine is set on (2) but when i set it on (1) the apply & ok button Then works
for( Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be
a virus)

I always have used Internet Zone with "Do not allow........." unchecked. I
tried to replicate your problem, but had no similar occurrence.

My first suggestion would be that you may have a damaged identity. File |
Identity | Add New Identity. Create a new one and test it. If all is well,
you can import your messages from the old identity and delete it.
