Default Outlook error message 5.1.2

I recently uninstalled Outlook and reverted to Outlook Express (original
program) -- big mistake. Aside from not having the added functions of
full-bore Outlook, I now get the following error message for any number of
hosts, not just msn. What's up and what to do about it? Thanks for any help.

Sorry, I couldn't find any host named msn.com??. (#5.1.2)

That's not a proper server name. Most mail providers have a Web page with
instructions for setting up OE. If you had not already uninstalled Outlook
you could copy the proper server names and settings from Outlook.

Are you getting a message back in your Inbox that says that?

That error would indicate that either the e-mail address you are sending
to is bad, or perhaps you are trying to use the wrong SMTP mail server
or have incorrect settings for it. Look in OE at Tools, Accounts, Mail,
Properties, Servers. Check with your ISP or mail service for the
correct settings.

You are generally limited to using your ISP's SMTP mail server.
