Here's a nice little bug

In Outlook Express go to File | Export | Adress Book... | select Microsoft
Exchange Personal Address Book | Export.

Now a dialog box comes up asking which of your Outlook profiles you would
like to use. Click Cancel. You will get a Messagebox:

Address book export process has completed.

Can anyone explain exactly what was completed and exactly where the result
is? Thanks.

There's a few more bugs - and vulnerabilities! - in your OLD version of OE,
as well :)

What OS are you running?

Shouldn't you be posting in an OE 5.5 newsgroup?

Unless you're still running Win95, why not upgrade to OE6?

If you are running Win95 throw the machine away and get a new one. They're
ridiculously inexpensive these days.

the bugs he finds.

Here's a nice little bug

The spammers and trojans spoof the email addresses and names. I repeatedly
get messages that my domain adminstrator at oehelp.com has terminated my
account. Well, I'm the domain administrator.

And Michael Santovec sent me one that said "I love you". I figured it was
either spam or he was drunk. Turns out it was the former.

At least that's what he claims. VBG

Here's a nice little bug

I know Steve that's why I asked Frank if he was getting them from me. So far
Frank and one other MVP have been very popular with the 181KB spammer. I
don't how long this is going to last hopefully Microsoft will change the
Hotmail options to allow us to ban by size.

Steve Cochran February 2nd 06 03:26 PM

Here's a nice little bug

I get tons of stuff also, but I don't use Hotmail. One ISP has a good spam
filter and the other has one that marks everything as spam, so I do most
filtering on my computer for those accounts. One rule that traps most is
that if the message is not to me, then dump it into a junk folder.
