Missing dbx files - OE won't start
May i tag onto this thread? I, also, do not have any .dbx files, and if i try to start OE i get the msg ... could not open msg store... and then the msg ... msoe.dll would not initialise... To clarify, search was set for hidden files etc, and tools/folderoptionsview - show hidden is selected. So. Windows is on c:\. My applications are on e:\. Data is on other partitions. I have the full windows xpsp2 CD; if i run scannow it does not fix the problem. If i do the repair of OE by any method shall I have to reload all my applications? |

Open Windows Explorer Tools | Folder Options | Views tab Select "Show all files" Uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types" Click Apply then OK Now search for *.dbx Rename Folders.dbx to Folders.old and then try to start OE. |
