My question why are you in an OE6 newsgroup

I use OE for some things.

if you are a firefox user,

I even use IE for other things.

why
don't you have thunder bird?

I have Mozilla Mail that I use for yet other things like newsgroups.
Haven't gotten round to downloading Thunderbird.

Would you like to know what else I have on my computer or is this enough
information?

Wrong newsgroup. This group, despite its name, is for OE only.

2. If I wanted to have a Firefox problem solved, I would have gone
elsewhere.

No sh't.

3. Ranting against Microsoft is oh-so-90s. Get a life.

Trolls, go home.

If you really want help, go to the right newsgroup. Try:

news://microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general/

If you want to be a wise ass, **** off.

P.S. I love MS products and use quite a few of them.

It's a known and reproducible bug in IE7 B2P.

Beta testers of IE7 Public Preview are asked to post their comments to
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.

I am prompted for credentials. When I am prompted, I simply click OK

selected to remember my password in OE. I believe that this is an IE7
related issue becuase I did not have this problem before I installed the
product.

Thanks in advance.

1. The problem is with OE6, so this is the right group.

2. Bet you haven't paid a cent for any of them. Usually, this is what irks
"folks" like you most about MS - paying for the products.

Workaround: get PTFB (older version) from
http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/fil...d,23023,00.asp
and mak it press OK for you when that annoying HOTmail window pops up.

How much do you want to bet? How about 10,000 euros?

Not at all. I pay for the software I use.

You might try going to Start | Program access and defaults and set OE as
default and see if that fixes it.

How could that possibly be, since we were told emphatically that OE is
different from IE, and IE has nothing to do with OE.

I feel like Cassandra who was only vindicated after Troy burned, except she
got it too.
