Thanks, Bruce.
Most of that worked, with some glitches. But, how to I transfer all the newsgroups? Thanks. "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ... The Clone Identity should do just that:

So I gotta ask.
I already moved the emails, account settings, etc using the other method. Will this method move ONLY the newsgroups, or will it take all the emails as well, leaving me with two sets of emails? Thx. If you already moved everything else, then you have a new identity and can't
clone the old. *Unless*, you clone the old identity and put it in a new identity on the new machine and not the one you already created. If you are successful, then you can delete the first identity. Do you have a lot of news servers and news groups? You can export all of the news account settings and copy them to a CD or flash drive. Put them on the new machine and import them. You will have to subscribe to the individual groups, but the account settings will be there ready for you. OK, exported the news settings and just re-subbed to the groups.
I'll leave the old msgs behind. Say, do you know where the newsgroup for MSIE 7 is? Thx. "Bruce Hagen" wrote in message ...
