This is my original message in what I thought was this group. I did not
mean to be a PITA. Sorry. Thanks again for the links. Some lines below
snipped.

Unable to connect to server, OE6
(C B)
Organization: Newsreader.Com

I decided to try OE for the newsgroups today for the first time. I
registered and oe confirmed all necessary info submitted; would I like a
list of groups downloaded. Yes. After about 5 seconds the following
error message:
Unable to connect to server.
Protocol: nntp
Port: 119
Secure (SSL):0
Running Win 98 se, P166 mmx, 64 meg edo ram. 3 gig drive. I think all
MS patches and hotfix. Obtained from Gary Terhune from the 98 Gen
Discussion Group. IE6 and OE6.
Firewall: Kerio Tiny Personal. I am thinking of going back to Zone
Alarm.
Anti-Virus: Avast, and up todate as of today.
Avast shows Local Host Port 119 as 'Listening"
Protocol: TCP
Is the differant protocols the problem? If so, how to solve?
Regards....
