I have a computer I maintain for a friend, using AT & T for email.
Whenever I open Outlook Express, the POP3 server shows 127.0.0.1 If I change it back to postoffice.worldnet.att.net, the proper setting, close down Outlook Express, then re-open OE, it re-sets to 127.0.0.1 I have tried deleting the mail accounts two in number and reloading but the problem continues. Any ideas would be appreciated -- Ride safe Barry ©¿© Sunny Ocala, FL 34482, USA http://home.att.net/~b.lockyer/index.htm |

This is caused by the e-mail scanning in your anti-virus. Turn it off. It is
a redundant layer of protection that will not leave you vulnerable without it. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "limeybiker" wrote in message ... Did this work? as have same problem, using McAfee and cant see where to turn

I have to dust off a few cobwebs, but open the Security Center (The McAfee
icon by the clock) and then VirusScan on the left. It's in there somewhere. The problem can start at any time. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "matth84" wrote in message ...
