You can use BCC on OE.
To use the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) feature, In Create Mail, either click ViewAll Headers and type in the addresses separated by a ; Or: Click the To button. You will see your list of contacts and the choice of putting them in the To, CC, or BCC field. Click on an address, then click BCC to add it. Repeat for all the contacts you want. (Note: Most ISPs have limits as to how many e-mails you can send a one time. 25 is common, but it varies). Put your own address in the To box. This is the only address/name that any recipient will see. If you leave the To field blank, some people may not receive the e-mail due to message rules they have set up, or restrictions set by their ISP. See: http://www.somewhere-in-time.net/tutorial/OutlookBCC ************************************** If you wanted to let people in your Address Book BCC you, (they will not know you didn't receive the mail), it is simple to do. Where the From line contains people Stop processing more rules Click on Contains people and click Address Book. Click on the first address to highlight it | Scroll down to the last address | Hold down the Shift key and click on the last address. Now they are all highlighted | Click From and all the addresses are added at once. Three minutes to do, tops. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Yolanda Martin" wrote in message news:L97Gf.22842$sA3.17078@fed1read02... I just tried both ways and learned something new again.....You are very very
knowledgeable of OE and I thank you for sharing that with us all. Now hopefully I will no longer get all that spam via my address in bcc again and all I have to do is empty my deleted items and I have learned an easier way to address my outgoing mail. You're welcome, Yolanda. Trust me. As long as you use a computer, you will
continue to learn until the day you stop using it. It appears from this post that you chose Delete it & Stop processing more rules for the BCC rule. That is fine, but it will send the rejected mail to Deleted Items where you still have to get rid of it. Let the rule be that way for awhile and see how it goes. I after a period of time, you find no *Good* mail in Deleted Items, then I would modify the message rule to Delete from server, rather than Delete it. This way, it will never reach your Outlook Express, period. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "Yolanda Martin" wrote in message news:H99Gf.23001$sA3.19918@fed1read02...
