email not working

I'm not sure if this is the right board to ask - and if not, maybe someone
could direct me - here's my problem.

I have a domain set up at buywebhost.com - (actually I have several domains)
and one particular domain will just not allow email to come back thru ... I
have been working on this all day - I have deleted the whole domain, and
reset it up ... reset up the email accounts and then set them up new in OE6
(I'm also on xppro) I can send mail thru them fine - but it bounces back to
me and gives me the error code below. I've been googling all day too trying
to find out what the problem is - is there anything to do with someone
stealing the email address and using it as spam? Since I have several
domains on this server, and none of the other ones are affected - just this
one - I'm clueless as to what to do next. I've contacted the server admin
people early this morning, but they have yet to reply .... so have been
trying various things. I've set up several email accounts on this domain
also and tried them all - all of them go 'to' the domain and just sit in the
file manager under var/spool/mail file folder....

anyone have any ideas??

thanks! Pam

email not working

The domain in question does not allow *Relaying*. All 5XX error are related.
check this link and then see what the ISP in question has to say about it.

You are configured to use 'smtp.perfora.net'? Guessing from the headers of
the message you posted:

| Received: from your_domain.invalid? by mrelay.perfora.net (node=mrelayus0)
| with ESMTP (Nemesis), id 0MKoyl-1F7K5J39C4-0008JH;
| Thu, 09 Feb 2006 17:16:19 -0500

From which Sam Spade tells me:

| 02/09/06 17:08:41 dns mrelay.perfora.net
| Canonical name: smtp.perfora.net
| Aliases:
| mrelay.perfora.net
| Addresses:
| 217.160.226.98

I tried a Sam Spade SMTP verify on your email address, and found an MX
server for the domain in your email address; at IP address 217.160.230.11.
Looks related to your SMTP relay server.

I tried a Sam Spade SMTP verify on your correspondent email address, but
the destination MX server for 'com-connect.com' treats a clearly bogus
email address the same as a potentially good email address; the result is
inconclusive.

All that is left is the verbose diagnostic message:

| SMTP error from remote server after RCPT command:
| host mail.com-connect.com[207.44.180.114]:
| 554 5.3.0 rewrite: map site194_a not found

As nearly as I can tell, your SMTP relay client, 'mrelay.perfora.net',
attempted to deliver the email to the MX server for 'com-connect.com',
which Sam Spade identified as 'trolak.mydnsbox3.com', but
'trolak.mydnsbox3.com' has some problem, and does not want to accept the
message from 'mrelay.perfora.net'. The key would be the cryptic, "5.3.0
rewrite: map site194_a not found", which doesn't mean anything to me.
It might be that the 'support' email address does not exist, or it might be
something else. It could even be a relay error, but I have my doubts; the
rejecting server is supposed to be the MS server for the destination email
address domain, so it should be seeing the RCPT email address, 'support
(at) com [dash] connect (dot) com' as local.
