New newsgroup box
At one time I would get a message box there new newsgroups available, yes
or no. For some reason it no longer appears. Did I maybe turn it off by mistake?. Thanks |

Outlook Express Tools Options General tab Notify me if there are any
new newsgroups -- Ted Zieglar "You can do it if you try." "stan" wrote in message ... At one time I would get a message box there new newsgroups available, yes or no. For some reason it no longer appears. Did I maybe turn it off by mistake?. Thanks |

I don't even recall if there is a Do not show me this again option or not.
If there are new newsgroups, and you didn't see the prompt, there will be a large asterisk to the left of the new groups. Either way, do the following and see if anything there resembles the newsgroup prompt. Go to: StartRunRegeditEnter and follow this path: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{GUID}\Software\Micro soft\Outlook Express\5.0\Don't Show Dialogs. In the right pane right click on the appropriate entry and choose Delete. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "stan" wrote in message ... Ted was right. Sometimes my brain goes right to the hard fix and skips the
simple one. You won't necessarily see the prompt tomorrow. It is only for new newsgroups which don't happen every day. -- Bruce Hagen MS MVP - Outlook Express ~IB-CA~ "stan" wrote in message ...
