Vincenzo,

Thank you for the quick response. We do have Service Pack 2. Wife cannot
open images but I can. She is a named User while I am the PC Administrator. I
should be having the same problem. ??

Hi John,

You might review the information at the linked page to see if there is a
file types issue (for the graphic file types) that applies to the issue.

What happens when she tries to open an image?

Does she get an error message? Or is there a box with a Red X rather
than the image, or is the image file name faded out so that she can't
select it? Or what?

Are you both using the same or different PCs? If the same PC are you
using different Windows logons or the same logon with different Outlook
Express identities?

The problem could be either on the sender's end or recipient's end.

- Red X instead of picture

- Images are blocked when you open an e-mail message in Outlook Express
SP2
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=843018
- If using XP SP2 and Tools, Options, Read, Read All Message In Plain
Text is selected, then attached images are not automatically displayed
at the bottom of the message. For a quick workaround for the current
message, press ALT+Shift+H

- Some types of images don't display
http://www.insideoe.com/problems/bugs.htm#nopreview
- Hotbar can cause image problems
http://www.thundercloud.net/help/hotbar-is-spyware.htm
- There's a bug in a recent update to OE where if an HTML message uses
the same image multiple time, only the first occurrence will display.
This is a problem on the sender's end where OE generates bad HTML links.
- Another possible cause of problems is a corrupted cache. Try clearing
it.
