Lost ALL subscriptions
 

Where are the subscriptions specified?

I have a multiboot system, and I stupidly cleared the accounts in one
system, forgetting that the accounts were shared amongst all the systems.

So, I've restored the accounts, as I had saved the .iaf files, but how can I
restore the subscriptions?

I was not looking for a way to manually add subscriptions.

Someplace, there has to be a file that maintains the list of subscriptions.
If I can find that file, I can restore it from a backup.

All I find in the regustry are th eaccoubt settings.
Did not find any listing of subscribed newsgroups.

In much less time than it took you to do all that you could have gone to
Tools Newsgroups, re-subscribed and caught up.

The NG subscription information is stored in folders.dbx. However, if you
shared the store across platforms and wiped out the accounts, then that will
be reflected in changes to folders.dbx, so its unlikely that you will be
able to recover from that.

If you had backed up both the registry settings and the message store
previously, then you could have restored things.

I have the Message Store from the backup media, but restoring the registry
settings might be hard. Don't know if I can recover them from the backup
media.
