I posted a few replies to my original question and it's answers on page two
(dated the 15th) but haven't seen anything further. I have tried (in vain) to move the dbx files, including the main "folders.dbx" file, double checked where the shortcut is pointing to, made sure that none of the files are marked as "read only" and in short, tried all that was posted for me as well as seen on the web. Seems this is a huge problem and yet I have not found one message board where people said "Voila, it fixed it!" ... or something like that. Here's another post just like mine: http://www.mcse.ms/archive170-2004-2-431067.html. Also, several of the posts I've found say something about looking in the "Message Store" folder, which is mentioned in my error message too, however, I don't have a folder by that name or even one named "store" on my system at all. Any idea if that could be the problem and if so, what I can do about it? See, at the URL given to me on my first post [http://insideoe.tomsterdam.com/probl...ors.htm#crash] it starts off stating: "Close OE and open the store folder in Windows Explorer." Can't open what isn't there! I have even sat and waited while Windows XP supposedly did the lovely little "repair" task listed at the MS Site [http://support.microsoft.com/default...EN-US;Q318378] by typing "sfc /scannow" in the StartRunOpen box -- Nothing changed. Please, help! Suzanne P.S. For those not aware, I am getting the ever growing problem error messages of: "Outlook Express could not be started. The application was unable to open the Outlook Express message store. Your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full. Contact Microsoft support for further assistance. (0x800C012E,3)." Followed by: "Outlook Express could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialized. Outlook Express may not be installed correctly." |
