Default OE Sending mail PROBLEM

I was just wondering the same thing. This one is using a fully patched
version of OE. Note the last line.

I also note two different ISPs. When you sent replies that did not show up
in the newsgroup, did they show up in Sent Items? If they did, your ISP
received them and the problem lies somewhere from that point on.

Never used Norton/Symantec for years (back in the days when it was a
"simple" program and didn't try and take over your computer. :-)

Well I hope I am not back here again with this problem in the foreseeable
future!!

Were you ever using Norton? Add/Remove many times does not remove it
completely.

(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to
use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware.

ones
that have come in. I cannot reply to posts in these newsgroups either.

After placing the error number in Google search I was lead to
Microsoft Site
which indicated also problems with various anti-virus programs. I do
not use
any of the programs mentioned (I use Computer Associates EZ Trust).
But I
would have thought that a clean install of the operating system would
rid me
of the problem. Unfortunately this is not the case.

I really am at my wits end trying to solve this problem.

So Symantec used to say this often and clearly. The newer stuff
doesn't
have the statement included as it was considered an embarrassment.

Default OE Sending mail PROBLEM

The last post was from my fully patched OE home computer and the one from
"Bert-Bait" is from an unpatched work place machine. Just shows that patched
or not, they both work. ;-)

Reply posts or reply emails never showed up in my Sent Items after timing
out etc. during my "problem" times.
