I use a spam filter called Mailwasher and can often read some of the email
text in Mailwasher's preview screen. On occasions I find that the email, although having readable text while in Mailwasher, does not have any text when it appears in OE. I don't feel this is Mailwasher's fault and suspect that if I had downloaded it without it going through a spam filter first the result would be the same - no text. Anyone shed any light on this? The message body contains HTML and is very possibly a virus or other

Rob Graham Mmmmm. But Mailwasher isn't an antivirus program so it would not be able to delete the text - if that is what you're suggesting. Also, the blank messages generally seem to be of the *replied to mine* variety. Rob |

![]() "Michael Santovec" wrote in message ... If you look at the Message Source (Ctrl-F3) do you see the message text? Also, while looking at the message text, take a look at the X-Mailer header. Do all the problem messages come from the same mail program, such as Lotus Notes? If they happen to be Lotus Notes it might be a similar problem to the one between Lotus Notes and SpamKiller. See the Problems and Complications section of Decoding Internet Attachments - A Tutorial http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_san...de.htm#problem Thanks Mike. I'll have to wait until I get another of these messages (which isn't very often) as I've deleted the two I've had recently. Rob |
