Problem with 'To' box
When composing a new email if I start to type the name in of this person
which happens to be Julie, it immediately shows a name of Julie Mobile, now I don't have a listing for Julie Mobile in my Address Book! I have one for Julie which is the one I want. I have just tried it with another name and it does the same again. If I click on the To box and type the start of the name it performs as expected. Anyone know where it is pulling this from and how I resolve it? I do have Palm desktop installed and I am wondering if it has anything to do with this. In the back of my mind there is something lurking about this but I don't know what. Thanks. -- Lynn Please remove spamtrap if replying via email |

Yes I appear to have 4 others and I don't know how they got there. They
appear to have no data in them anyway. Should I delete them? My Contacts has all my email addresses, then there is one for another identity that I check on the same computer. The Shared contacts just has in the right hand pane all my mobile phone contacts. I have just remembered that I do have Mobile Phone Tools for Motorola installed, perhaps that is the problem. Also when I went to check I got a message saying that Address Book was not my default vCard viewer. -- Lynn Please remove spamtrap if replying via email "Ron Sommer" wrote in message ... : Start, Run, wab /a : View, check Folders and Groups : Do you have another groups besides Shared Contacts and your contacts? : -- : Ron Sommer : : "Lynn W" wrote in message : ... : When composing a new email if I start to type the name in of this person : which happens to be Julie, it immediately shows a name of Julie Mobile, : now I don't have a listing for Julie Mobile in my Address Book! Ignore the vcard message.
Is Julie Mobile in your Shared Contacts? When you view the Address Book from within OE is the left hand folder pane showing? OE will check for addresses in your Identity's Address Book folder and the Shared Contacts. -- Ron Sommer "Lynn W" wrote in message ... When syncing with your Mobile phone you can set up a stand-alone WAB file and use that. The Windows Address Book (WAB), see: http://www.insideoe.com/files/wab.htm Name it Nokia or something relevant :-) HTH? -- Regards Steve. MS-MVP. OE. [DTS] |
