I've set my E-Mail and news fonts to Arial 12. But for some reason, although the text comes up properly, the default signature comes up Times Roman 12. I copied and pasted Arial 12 into the signature setup blocks, without its working. Any ideas?

If you are using Stationery, the font specified in the Stationery will take
precedence. -- Jim Pickering, MVP, Outlook Express https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...8-1171988A62D6 Please deliver feedback to the newsgroup, so that others can be helped. Thanks. Does this happen in Plain Text as well as HTML? Use Plain Text for newsgroups and in Tools | Options | Compose, make sure there is no stationery selected for either Mail or News, including *Blank*.

In this sample post, your signature is in Arial with no font size
specified. Are you using a different signature in e-mail? -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "PT" wrote in message ... I've set my E-Mail and news fonts to Arial 12. To clarify:
No stationery is selected in news nor email In Tools | Options | Send, News is set for Plain Text, Email is set for HTML In Tools | Options | Compose, both News and Emails are set for Arial 11 The Times Roman signature appears when I reply to a message, even if the original message was in Arial But if I create a new email, the signature appears in Arial. Curiously, when I reply to a News message (as here, for example) the signature comes up in Arial, and the message in Times Roman. -- PT ************************************************** **** "Michael Santovec" wrote in message ... Have you looked at the message in your sent items after sending?
The original news post that you made hade both the message body and signature in Arial. Your most recent message post was in plain text. The signature in the news posting always seems to come out in Arial. The
conversion to TR seems only to occur on replies to Emails. But it seems almost random. That is, on some replies the signature is Arial, on others, it's TR. I can get TR even when the message I reply to is Arial. I can't see any pattern I tested using replying to an Arial font message, but changing the recipient to myself, so I could see what recipients see. Both the recipient message and the "sent" folder message are in TR font. In Tools | Options | Signatures, the signatures are "text". Should I instead use a file with the desired Arial font? -- PT (appears as TR signature on my screen) ************************************************** ** "Michael Santovec" wrote in message ... If you use a file you can put in the HTML tags as desired.
On way to do this is start an HTML format message. Enter you signature as desired with fonts, color, etc. Then switch to the Source tab then copy/paste the source for the signature to an open Notepad window. Save the notepad file with an HTML extension and then specify that file for the signature. This code with specify Arial for your signatu DIVFONT face=ArialBR-- BRBRPT/FONT/DIV -- Mike - http://pages.prodigy.net/michael_santovec/techhelp.htm "PT" wrote in message ...
