Detect and Repair

OE on XP SP2. When I open OE and hit Send/Receive, I get a constant hour
glass. At some point, the title bar reports that OE is "Not Responding."
Is there a Detect and Repair function?

I tried to create a new identity and switch to it to see if the identify
is corrupt. OE let me create the identity, but when I tried to switch to
it, nothing happened.

What course of action should I take to try to get OE going again? The
folders have been compacted at least once per week. The inbox is not
particularly full as emails are moved into other folders after they are
read.

Disregard. My Connections were changed to "Always dial my default
connection". Changing it back to "Never dial a connection" solved the
problem.
