I have a problematic new laptop and recently re-formatted the laptop back to
factory settings. I have since been trying to get OE to work correctly (it
did prior to "resetting" the laptop). I have a working internet connection
and all isp account information is entered in OE correctly. In the past,
this is all I've needed. However, now when I click "send/receive", I get the
message box asking for my password (with the "remember password" option
greyed out). I enter the correct password with the correct upper/lower case,
click "ok", and all that happens is the same Message box will flash up again.
This will cycle forever. If I click "cancel", I receive the following error
message:

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was
rejected. Account: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user/password', Port: 995,
Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

The password works fine if I use a browser and go straight to the isp's
website. No one seems willing/able to help me, and HP and Microsoft keep
bouncing me back and forth. Help!!!!!
