By blocking the sender of spam, am I clogging up my outlook express? There are a lot of them.

What a block sender does is move the messages to your Deleted Items
folder. So you need to make sure that you empty that.

As for using a block sender on spam, that's largely a waste of time.
The From address is usually faked and frequently changes.
