where is the "message store folder"?

Then the problem is most likely with a corrupted deleted items folder.
Close OE, go to the message store folder, find and delete "Deleted
Items.dbx" and then restart Outlook Express. Also make sure you compact
your message store folder often while working offline.

It is not with certain folders. I restart, open OE, read some email, and
delete or move it to a folder. At some point, I am unable to delete any
email
from any folder. The deleted folder does empty upon exit.

If it's only with certain folders, the folders may be corrupted. Try
creating new folders, and move the messages into those new folders, then
close Outlook Express, and use Windows Explorer (WinKey+E) to navigate to
the message store folder and find and delete the DBX files with the names
of
the problem folders. You can also try a compact of your message store
while
working offline since that can often repair "minor" corruption in the DBX
files in the store.

I use WINME,MSExp6,Firefox,EZArmor Security. I did have NAV and had this
same
problem. I am ususally unable to delete email messages from various
folders.
Set to empty deleted folder upon exit and this works. I have used
repair
tool
in add/remove programs, but problem persists.Any suggestions?

You can determine the location by looking in OE at Tools, Options,
Maintenance, Store Folder.

Okay, I found the Store Folder but it only allows me to change where I want
files stored, does not allow me to delete anything, and I don't see Deleted
Items.dbx...where is that?

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store Folder will reveal the location of
your Outlook Express files. Write the location down and navigate to it in
Windows Explorer or, copy and paste it into Start | Run.

In WinXP, the .dbx files are by default marked as hidden. To view these
files in Explorer, you must enable Show Hidden Files and Folders under Start
| Control Panel | Folder Options | View.
