Could someone suggest a good, free "not mutually exclusive" add on for OE6
to view Yenc pictures? I have been avoiding them but their popularity is
growing.

I don't know what you mean by "not mutually exclusive".

Many people concider it impossible "good" and "free" to apply to programs. I
highly disagree. Example is infanview. Going to your suggested site now.
Thanks

Been there and my opinion of what I found after 30 minutes of looking was:
much dated info
many problems with prograns
Hard to use programs
pay programs

what I didn't find was what I hoped for in my origional post.
GOOD= works transparently "click on news post and see pic"
Free=FREE

Maybe Yenc is not as easy in OE6 as I envision.

Well, there will not be any support for yenc in Outlook Express or Windows
Mail (the next generation Windows Mail Client) since there is no standard as
yet for the yenc protocol. Microsoft has been often accused of not adhering
to "standards" and yet you want it to provide support for a protocol that
has no standard. Guess MS just can't win, no matter how it plays the game.

Jim As much as I appreciate your help and replies there is no need for you to
defende MS as I did not ask MS to provide support for any standard. I simply
asked about a program trhat would function smoothly with OE and received some
good replies as well as some not so usefull.

Try yProxy. There are still links to the free versions of yProxy on
their FAQ, though I highly recommend the latest version of yProxy Pro:
