not familiar with net messenger can anyone help me with questions about
computer?I need to learn where all chat groups are?not sure how to use
messenger havent sent any messages using net yet.

Messenger isn't a chat group type client. It's for conatcts you add.

IRC is where the chat rooms are located, that and AOL.
