Exporting and Importing Emails and Address Book
 

Hi! I need to get the emails and address book out of Outlook Express 6 on
my old drive (running Windows ME) and onto my new drive (running Windows
XP). I have tried exporting the address book to a .wab file and my emails
to a \backup.pst and then burned them onto CD but I can't then import any
of these into my new drive from the CD. Can someone please tell me what I
should do as this is probably not the correct way to do it. When I ask
Outlook Express 6 to export my emails, it puts them into MS Outlook or
Exchange. I have 2 removeable drives - the old one is going to be cleaned
up because of a few problems so I need to get the info on a CD somehow so I
can import it to the new one.

Move the file from the CD to a new folder on your hard drive.
Remove the Read Only attribute.
Import.
