problem switching identity
I have a similar problem (Outlook Express 6) switching identity. default
identity with ISP ok (second ID good also for years) but recently when switching to second ID and typing in password I get an error message saying Password Typed is Incorrect. ISP gave me a new password ...same problem. Can't access the emails under the second ID. Most of my emails came in under that identity. Shall I make sure (1) anti-virus software is not scanning email and/or (2) uninstall IE6 and then reinstall? Thanks in advance, Marco "Paul N" wrote: Hi, I have been using Outlook Express for years with no problems but today when I switch from the default at start identity to the secondary identity it shows message titles but only get the hour glass in the view pane, then when I switch back to the default identity I get the same promblem of nothing but the hour glass turning in the view pane? Any in sight? Using XP SP3 and Windows explorer 8 beta 2 -- Have a nice day! |

Is this a password for the Identity?
Your ISP does not have anything to do with the Identity password. Create a new Identity and import the messages from the passworded Identity. -- Ronald Sommer "marco" wrote in message ... To: Ron.... thanks for informing me that identity is not via the ISP
(although they dod supply me with a new password, which didn't help). I did manage to then somehow retrieve my original emails thru the manage identities function. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
