Copying Mail to OE
I've a Folder on a laptop with Vista using Windows Mail, Folder name=Save.
It has about 70+ emails in it I want to put in a same named Folder on my PC with XP using OE. How or can this be done? -- Thanks, Bill Post replies back to News Group |
Copying Mail to OE
1. Copy the folder and its contents (EML files) to the WinXP machine.
2. Open the folder and OE on your screen. 3. Drag the message(s) directly into any OE folder. -- ~Robear Dyer (PA Bear) MS MVP-IE, Mail, Security, Windows Desktop Experience - since 2002 AumHa VSOP & Admin http://aumha.net DTS-L http://dts-l.net/ Willy wrote: I've a Folder on a laptop with Vista using Windows Mail, Folder name=Save. A question or 2 to your recommendations:
1. Copy the Folder into OE or just anywhere then drag the messages to Folder I want? -- Thanks, Bill Post replies back to News Group "PA Bear [MS MVP]" wrote in message ... 1. Copy the folder to your desktop, NOT to/into OE's message store.

Once I copy to Desktop, then what? Don't Folder have to be open to see the
messages & how do I open it outside of OE? -- Thanks, Bill Post replies back to News Group "PA Bear [MS MVP]" wrote in message ... Copy the folder to your desktop, NOT to/into OE's message store. Copying Mail to OE
It's simple drag & drop, Willy.
1. Open the folder that's located on your desktop. 2a. Open OE so that both OE and the open folder are visible on your monitor at the same time. 2b. If the OE Folder pane isn't visible, make it so via View | Layout | Folder list. 3. Now drag one or more of the EML files in the open folder to any folder in the Folder list. That worked. I knew about dragging/dropping, just had to narrow each Window
down to do it. Sure saved me again PA Bear. -- Thanks, Bill Post replies back to News Group "PA Bear [MS MVP]" wrote in message ... It's simple drag & drop, Willy. 1.
