Thank you for your advice. It worked too. I just wish their was a way that
when someone sent me an email or replied to my email that there email address would appear in my inbox under the "from" column rather than their id name. Thank you again. Rochelle -- Thank You! "Gary Smith" wrote: Even easier than that, with the sent message open, simply click on the To: name to highlight it and use Ctrl-C to copy, or right-click on the name and click Copy. Even though you see a name, there's actually an addres link underneath. Then click the Forward button and paste into the To: box. Kuay Tim wrote: Hi Rochelle, I don't know if this will be helpful. With the message in the Sent Items folder open it is possible to right-click on the To: name, select Properties and then select and copy the address. This can then be pasted on the To: line (after clicking Forward) before resending. -- Gary L. Smith Columbus, Ohio |

message Thank you for your response. Ctrl F3 did work. So can you tell me the easiest way to "forward" the original email message to the original recipient? For example, I sent an email to a customer who claimed they didn't get it. So I went into my "sent" box and I see the email. I then highlight the specific email and click on the "forward" button that appears on the toolbar. The next thing that happens is a window popups and a blinking cursor appears next to the "to:" field. At this point I run into the issue of not being able to scroll down previous emails because as I mentioned previously, their ID name appears instead of their email addressess. And I believe if I just copy and paste their id name then it will be in error. Normally in Yahoo, I would just scroll down and then copy and paste their email address into the "to:" field. Use Ctrl-F3 on the message in Sent Items and copy and paste he contents of the To field. -- Frank Saunders, MS-MVP OE/WM Please respond in Newsgroup. I do too, Rochelle. Indeed, I posted essentially this same question a week
or two ago. Alas, with the same answer. All the other ways to get at the address that people have suggested are fine, but I find the most obvious to me is to simply create a fake Reply or Forward. The name and address are right there at the top [look at your quoted message below; slightly different for email msg but same idea] and you can then cut and paste them to the message you actually want to send and abort the fake Reply. You can even, with a bit of precise mousework, cut out just the email address without the "friendly name". Incidentally, if you want your original message to go out without the quote symbols ( at the beginnning of line), start a new message A, Reply to message B with the correct address and cut and paste the address to A, open (not Forward) the original message C and cut and paste the text to A. Send A and abort B and C. "cmptr_iliterate" wrote in message news ![]() Thank you for your advice. It worked too.
